Songs From Syria is a collaborative project bringing together the musicians of iyatraQuartet with Basel and Taim Saleh, from the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians.  Their music encompasses original arrangements of songs from Syria and new collaborations, taking you on a journey from deeply moving expression to joyous song and vibrant rhythms.

The musicians met at a street party in memory of Jo Cox MP in 2017 and have since performed together at Songlines Encounters Festival (Kings Place), Bloomsbury Festival, and Brighton Open Air Theatre.

In April 2018 they performed with Damon Albarn and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to celebrate St George's day.
