“It was completely incredible. Magical, wild and powerful fuel for story writing, drama, expressive dance and art … wow!”

Parent from St Christopher’s School, Hampstead, London

These unique and interactive workshops encourage participants to make art in response to music. Students are guided through exploration into free self expression while experiencing real live music and art making.

Workshops are accessible, appropriate for all ages, abilities and experience. They can operate either digitally via Zoom or in person (restrictions permitting!).

Download the Live Art Along PDF below for more information, or email iyatraquartet@gmail.com to discuss a tailor-made itinerary for your school or art group.

8th February 2021, Live Art Along for schools

Each of our workshops feature a new, freely improvised piece of music, inspired by the artworks created in the session. Below is the group improvisation we created for St Christopher's, Carlton and Fitzjohn's schools in north London.

26th June 2020, Live Art Along on YouTube

We invited participants of our 'Live Art Along' to create art using sound as inspiration. Solo and duo music improvisations were the basis of three guided warm-ups, before we launched into two sittings of 'Caravan' and 'Chandra' from our latest album, Break the Dawn.

The responses we received are astoundingly creative and each uniquely beautiful, as you will see below! We were thrilled by the openness and wonderful spirit into which everyone entered this event and want to thank you all for taking part and sharing your artworks.

If you missed it, why not watch it back and have a go for yourself?
